Travel ♥ Valle De Angeles

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that the Hubby and I went on a little trip to Valle de Angeles. We decided to return last weekend to snap some pics of the town, so I could show it to you gals ;)

Just 22 kilometers away from the capital, Valle de Angeles turns in to the perfect weekend getaway for most people in Tegucigalpa. It is a tourist paradise where you can find some of the best Honduran folk art, colonial architecture, go hiking, do canopy, visit museums and find contemporary art. In my opinion, this is one of the best places to buy Honduran folk art because you are practically buying it directly from the artistans, which guarantees the best price.

What the Hubby and I love about coming here is that you can actually walk around the town, because we aren’t able to do that back in the city. Also love to breathe the fresh air and enjoy the green road to and back from Valle.

Word of advice: if you like to avoid crowds DO NOT go on Sunday, it´s probably the busiest day of the week. Wish we could have come on Saturday so we could take better pics -_-

Fun fact: The super famous Honduran painter Julio Visquerra has his art gallery here, you can usually find him there greeting the visitors.
