Miami ♥

So you might have noticed that things have been very slow here at the blog, and the reason is: I was away on vacation. The Hubby and I decided to go to Miami to rest and get away from it all. It was great to be “disconnected”, I didn´t open facebook, WhatsApp, or used internet for a whole week. I must admit, it was wonderful!!!! I highly recommend it!

We visited Zoo Miami (formerly known as Miami Metrozoo), and the Gold Coast Railroad Museum, which is next to the zoo. The Museum was actually a Naval Air Station but when is ceased operations in 1945 some of it became Zoo Miami, Miami University and other private and government facilities. We also went to my favorite place in Miami: Lincoln Road. It’s a pedestrian mall between Alton Road and Washington Avenue, there is plenty of shopping and dining. Whatever you are looking for, you will find here. The best time to visit in my experience is on Sundays and even better if the antique market is open (look up the schedule beforehand). Lincoln Road is the perfect place to people watch, this year we were there on a Wednesday for a late lunch and even then, it was interesting. I had to fight an urge to take pictures of people, very fashionable, fascinating and some out of the ordinary subjects!

Since we were there for Halloween we HAD to visit a Haunted House! We went to House of HorrorAmusement Park it´s two acres with about 30 rooms of terror. Awesome! Never disappoints!

Here are some pics:

Of course we did a little shopping ;)

Things will continue to be slow here, there are some personal projects I need to work on, you can still look for updates on my instagram and twitter accounts. Follow @estiloandcafe Or Like Estilo and Cafe on Facebook.

P.S. Although we didn´t go this year. If you haven´t been to The Viscaya Museum and Gardens, do visit! It´s worth it!
