Health ♥ Disconnect to Connect - Put Your Phone Down!

In the Miami post, I told you how I turned my phone off for the entire trip. I did not want to be tempted to be a social media slave even in my vacation (no selfies, and no hotdog legs) or be constantly checking my whatsapp. I thought that if something was important my family had the phone number to the landlines where I could be reached, so there was no point in checking that, oh and there is always viber. We usually get mad when somebody else is glued to their phone but you know, you are guilty too. I think taking a break from my phone gave me time to relax and actually enjoy the wonderful time I had with my Hubby, each and every second I lived to the fullest, honestly it was like detox. I highly recommend it!

I found this video that I shared on my facebok page a couple of weeks ago and decided it would be nice to share with you. I’m not saying you give up on cell phones or social media for that matter, but that you detach from it when possible; don’t go for coffee with a friend if you are going to be chatting on your phone with that other friend who is out of the country, you know it can wait. Don’t go out with your significant other and start checking your facebok and instagram, enjoy your time with your friends and family. It’s ok to snap a picture but wait until that coffee/ date is over to upload, because social media and whatsapp can wait, life will not stop or wait until you are done uploading. Put it down, if something is urgent the person will probably give you a call.
