Housewife Style ♥ Setting The Table For A Very Casual Dinner

A couple of weeks ago, we had some friends over for dinner. I decided to make chicken stuffed with pesto, pasta and green salad. The chicken was fairly easy to make although it was my first time ever making it. Yes, yes I know! Rule number 1 when throwing a dinner party is: never try new recipes on your guests, but I took a chance anyway. And I thought everything came out delicious, I’m not being conceited most people had seconds ;)

For dessert I made lemon cheesecake, it’s a recipe from the Hubby´s side of the family and it is too easy to make. I should probably share it with you; it only has 3 ingredients and can be made ahead!

Back to the table setting, I used these amazing plates from Zara that you might have seen on my instagram account before (follow @estiloandcafe). I had been dying to use them and this dinner party seemed like the perfect occasion. For Christmas, I was gifted a set of blue napkins that matched the color scheme perfectly, the silver charger plates where bought at Lady Lee along with these. Since it was a very intimate dinner, I only used the water goblets in case someone wanted to change their drink, so I wanted to have clean glass for them waiting. Dinner was served on the table and it was a perfect evening. I love entertaining!

Fresh flowers make the best centerpieces.

***not pictured above: the salad plates that can be doubled as dessert plates, and in which I later served the lemon cheesecake. They have the same motif and I had to buy them, they were on sale!
